Keeping the tradition alive of constructing masajid in all its housing sectors and projects, Bahria Town has now decided to build World’s third largest mosque in Bahria Town Karachi. This mosque also known as Grand Jamia Mosque, Karachi will have the capacity to accommodate 800,000 namazis at one time.

This Bahria Town Jamia Masjid Complex has a modern Islamic Research Centre, an Islamic Cultural Centre, an Islamic Museum and an International University having all the latest educational facilities. The structure of mosque is inspired from the masajid in Iran, Malaysia and Turkey. The complex has its own thermal powerhouse and water supply systems.

Bahria Town has a tradition of building beautiful and extremely large mosques in its projects. The Grand Jamia Mosque of Bahria Town Lahore has a capacity to accommodate 70,000 namazis, making it the seventh largest mosque in the world. The prime reason of not building the largest mosque of the world is respecting the sanctity of Masjid-al-Haram and Masjid-e-Nabwi, which are the first and second largest mosques, respectively.
